秘色（ひしょく）は、唐代の越窯で焼かれた皇室専用の青瓷。千二百年の時を越えて色褪せない、静謐な青。
中京（ちゅうきょう）は、名古屋の古称。日本中部の中心として、千年の都より美を発信する地名。
Hishoku — the secret celadon reserved for the Tang imperial court, fired at the Yue kilns twelve centuries ago; a quiet blue that does not fade.
Chukyo — the ancient name for Nagoya, the thousand-year heart of central Japan.
この二つを重ね合わせ、千年の青と千年の都から、秘められた美を次世代へ届ける — その志を、社名に込めました。
Layering these two stories, we deliver hidden beauty to the next generation from the thousand-year blue and the thousand-year city — that purpose lives inside our name.
そして堂号「楽其堂」は、『論語』雍也篇に見える「君子楽其志（君子は其の志を楽しむ）」より。物を愛し、志を敬い、所有者様の宝物を次なる愛好家へ橋渡しすることが私たちの喜びです。ギャラリー事業部では、当代作家の志と陶芸の瑞々しい感性を、国内外へお届けしています。
Our house name Rakkyokudo derives from the Analects — "The noble mind delights in its purpose." Through our gallery division, the fresh sensibility of contemporary ceramic artists travels to collectors across Japan and beyond.

On the English Name
「中」の中国音 mi と、青瓷の英名 celadon。
この二つを合わせて Meet Celadon — 古今東西の美が出会う場でありたい、という願いを込めました。
Mi, the Chinese reading of 中, paired with celadon, the English name for the ceramic.

青瓷は、胎土に含まれる鉄分が、還元焔（酸素を制限した炎）の中で化学変化を起こすことで生まれる釉色の総称。 鉄分の含有量と焔の状態で、黄・青・月白・灰・深緑など幅広い色調が立ち現れます。
Celadon is not a single color but a family of glazes born from iron in the clay body, transformed through reduction firing — an atmosphere starved of oxygen. Depending on iron content and flame, the kiln yields yellows, blues, moon-whites, greys, and deep greens.

「秘色」は、特定の色の名前ではなく、規格の高い器物に対する尊称です。 唐代、越窯で焼かれた秘色は、宮廷に献上される最上階の焼き物でした。 今日では、質・技巧・意匠のすべてが高い水準に達した器物を指します。
Hishoku — the "secret color" — is not the name of a single hue, but a mark of highest standard. In the Tang dynasty, hishoku designated Yue-ware pieces reserved for the imperial court. Today, it refers to any object meeting the highest level of material, craft, and design.
